Blogging Packages

so you can get back to doing what you love – photography.

I know how it is – I was a wedding photographer, then an elopement photographer. You started your business because you love taking photos, but there’s so much more that goes into your business – building a website, managing your social media, writing blog posts… and it’s tempting to do it all yourself, but outsourcing allows you to get your time back, and spend it doing what you love. Trusting someone else with any part of your baby – I mean, business – is scary, but you’ll be in good hands, I promise 🙂

What’s in a Blog Post?

It’s important that you know what’s going on when I write your blog posts! It’s not just a collection of words, every post should be intentional.

Blog Topics

Before any writing happens, you’ll need a topic. The posts on your blog should be intentional, and should be something that’ll help you with SEO, and help your clients too. Some people come to me with a list of topics, others have no clue where to start – so part of my process is giving you suggestions and ideas, if you want them.

search engine optimization (Also known as… SEO)

Probably the main reason you decided to outsource blogging – ranking on Google is a great way to bring in clients. Every post is written with SEO in mind, from keyword research, to heading tags, to meta descriptions.

good writing

So maybe this is just me, but I’m physically incapable of reading anything that isn’t written in a way that’s actually interesting. You can do all the optimization in the world, but if people aren’t reading past the first paragraph of your blog post, it’s likely going to waste. So, it’s important to me that I write with people in mind – each blog post is written in a way that’s informative but conversational, because I want it to be something your clients enjoy reading.

Inclusive Language

Something that’s really important to me as queer ex-wedding photographer is that the language I use includes all people. No “bride and groom” language in my posts, and no heteronormativity.

Unique Content

So many photographers hire a cheap blog writer on Fiverr, only to publish their blog posts and later realize they’re completely plagiarized. This hurts everyone – duplicate content is bad for SEO, and it’s just an ethical no-no. Investing in a professional blogger (moi) means all content is original and unique to you.

How long are blog posts?

I focus more on writing until all the info is there than on having a strict word count or charging you per word, but a standard blog post is 1,000 – 1,500 words (and the prices above are for blog posts of this length).

I do offer longer blog posts, great for cornerstone content. These are 2,500 – 3,000 words – if you want all of your posts to be longer, you’ll find a quote here! You can also “upgrade” any of your monthly posts occasionally, and I’ll send an invoice for the price difference at that time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Just multiply the price by however many posts you want to do.

If you don’t want to do two every month, you can also just add an additional post whenever you want – I’ll send a separate invoice to add it on.

I might! That’s always the goal, but I can’t ever guarantee it (and anyone who says they can is lying and you probably shouldn’t give them any money). Your results depend on a lot of different factors – so while I write with SEO in mind and I optimize your blog posts as much as I can, your overall website SEO needs to be strong too for best results. That being said, I’ve gotten several posts for different photographers to the first page!

Yes! Some of my clients have topics in mind already, others have no idea and just know they want blog posts that are helpful for their target audience.

After you decide it’s a good fit, I’ll create a spreadsheet for us both to put ideas in, and you can decide from there which posts you want written and in what order.

This can depend on my schedule and availability at the time you inquire, but for individual posts, my turnaround is typically 14 days.

For monthly posts, you’ll go in my monthly queue – your posts will be done by the end of each month!

No, sorry! The yearly payments are an upfront cost – you pay for 12 posts, and I deliver one every month.
