About the Pine Grove Cobb Resort

The resort is located in Cobb, 100 miles north of San Francisco, tucked in the mountains and surrounded by wine country, slightly inland off the California Coast. The Pine Grove Cobb Resort was started by Joe and Noah, who moved to the secluded area from the East Bay! They slowly added more cabins, and turned the space into a gorgeous getaway in nature, with a focus on sustainability and community.

Now, there are accommodation for up to 50 people, different cabins to choose from, two pools, and a gorgeous creek and stunning redwood trees all around.

You can book your stay at the Pine Grove Resort through Hipcamp, which is a website similar to Airbnb, but with camping and glamping sites!

If you own land and want to list it as a campsite, you can do that on Hipcamp too!

Getting to the Pine Grove Cobb Resort

The Pine Grove Resort is easy to find – your GPS will take you there! Here’s a little bit of info about the location, so you know what to expect!

The cabin is located about 100 miles north of San Francisco, 100 miles west of Sacramento, and 100 miles southeast of the coastal town of Mendocino. The drive here will take you through a gorgeous forested road, and the town of Cobb is small and peaceful! The directions are easy to follow, and you’ll come to a sign that points you into the resort. From there, it’s a dirt road (don’t worry, it’s doable in any car), and you can park right in front of your cabin.

When you get there, you’ll check in with the hosts by the pool, and they’ll point you to your cabin!

Inside the Cabin

Keep in mind that there are a few different cabins at the Pine Grove Cobb Resort, so they might be different from this one! I stayed in the Maple Rustic Creekside Cabin.

The inside of the cabin was nice and spacious, with a big living area, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen.

The kitchen had an oven, sink, stove, tea kettle, and everything you’d need to cook your own meals.

The cabin had two bedrooms – one with a big king sized bed, and one with two smaller twin sized beds.

There was also a full bathroom, and a wooden deck that overlooks the creek! Outside on the deck was a large table and several chairs, so you could have a meal with the sound of the creek below you. If you want to cook outdoors, there was also a grill!

Amenities at the Pine Grove Cobb Resort

The Pine Grove Cobb resort has gorgeous trees all over, and a few paths that take you on a more secluded nature walk – but along with the nice atmosphere and natural beauty, there are also all the amenities you need during your stay!

Pools

This was my favorite part! There are two pools at Pine Grove (which you can also visit even if you don’t stay at the resort) – one big chlorinated pool, and one small spring fed one.

The bigger pool has a water slide and diving board, and shallow kiddie pools! This pool was pretty busy all day when I stayed here on a hot summer day, but I got the smaller pool to myself! The smaller pool gets water from the creek, so it’s more natural – I really loved swimming in this one!

Bathrooms

If you stay in one of the cabins, you’ll have a private bathroom, complete with a shower and bathtub. But, even if you stay at one of the more rustic sites – the glamping tent or the forest camping site, there’s a bathroom and shower facility for you to use!

Wood Fired Pizza Oven

A really cool feature of the resort was the wood fired stove, where you can make a pizza! This cozy spot was in a little pavilion, with seating around – perfect for hanging out during your stay.

Heat and Air Conditioning!

This one was important! I stayed in the cabin on a day where the temperature reached nearly 100 degrees, but the A/C worked perfectly and the cabin was super comfortable. Being able to cool off in the pool was also a bonus!

WiFi

If you need to stay connected during your stay, the entire resort had fast WiFi that allowed me to keep working while traveling.
