Tilden Park Wedding
Marion reached out to me in February and told me that he and Cassey were getting married - in three months. As last minute as the whole thing was they pulled everything together incredibly! I took the opportunity to make my favorite drive down the coast from Seattle to San Francisco to join these two to celebrate their day.
I won’t lie, church weddings aren’t reeeeally my thing. I’m more of an outdoor ceremony kind of gal. But even so, I can appreciate the heck out of some stained glass windows. Marion and Cassey said a prayer together before the ceremony, but didn’t see each other the whole time. That, along with the letters they wrote to each other earlier in the day was enough to tug anyone’s heartstrings. After the ceremony, they took an old vintage car (1952!) to Tilden Park, where they danced the night away with friends and family.
Though I had only met them the day of the wedding, it was so clear that these two are made for each other. They’re such lovely people, and crazy talented. Marion can play the guitar while holding it behind his head (I couldn’t believe it either), and Cassey’s voice is incredible. It was such an honor to spend my Wednesday with these two, capturing the best day of their lives.
