Tipsoo Lake Bridals - Mt Rainier National Park
Charlee and KJ drove all the way out from Seaside, Oregon to Mt. Rainier to take these photos, which I am eternally grateful for. Lake Tipsoo has been one of my favorite photo spots for a while (one of the first couple’s session I ever did was here - would be interesting to compare the photos), and I was so glad when they told me they wanted to go. Charlee’s wearing this stunning gown from Desiree Hartsock.
We got absolutely eaten alive by mosquitos - and by we I mean me and KJ, because according to Charlee mosquitos “don’t like her blood.” I can’t relate but it must be nice. But KJ was a trooper and didn’t mind one bit, and I may be one giant mosquito bite for a few days but it was so worth it for the views and for the golden light. This was also my first time visiting Mt. Rainier National Park this year - which I’m kicking myself for a little bit.
But my unfortunate experience with the wildlife didn’t end there. After this session, I parked in a really pretty wooded spot just outside the park. Around 2 am I woke up to some spooky sounds - and I don't really get scared that easily but it sounded like someone was tapping on my van and a bunch of rustling sounds. So I was pretty convinced that this would be how I died, and then I felt some little claws run across my foot (my mistake because everyone knows leaving your foot out of the blanket means the monsters can get you), and I jumped the fastest I've ever jumped in my life, turned on the light, and saw a little mouse scurrying across the floor. He hid under the seat for a while and I left the door open and I'm pretty sure he went back outside but I didn't see it happen so who's to say? Maybe i have a new roommate.
