Hurricane Ridge Elopement
The morning of Alex & Alex’s elopement at Hurricane Ridge, I spent a few hours hiking around, but I could hardly see two feet in front of me with all the fog, and all day not a mountain in sight. But thankfully the mountains made a (very quick) appearance just for them - as did a few deer. See if you can spot one - and tell me she doesn’t look like a beautiful woodland fairy!
Im definitely a sunshine gal and if I wasn't a photographer I would want it to be 75 and sunny all the time. Buuuut I gotta say - shooting in the rain is it's own kind of magic. Somehow all the greens look greener and that fog couldn't be more pnw-esque.
An elopement in Olympic National Park couldn’t be any more up my alley, so of course I was so, so excited to photograph this one. Intimate elopements have my heart (and if I was getting married, I’d elope on top of a mountain in a second), because they’re so much more personal, and you get to do away with a lot of the hassle that comes with weddings, which just leaves all the love and the fun with your person.
Planning your own intimate wedding or elopement? Or don’t know where to start? I’ve got you covered - from location suggestions to permits to what to do if it rains, this is my freakin’ jam.
