About Rudy Ranch Glamping in Santa Cruz
Rudy Ranch is located in the small town of Boulder Creek, less than 15 miles from Santa Cruz and from the coast. It’s in a really cute, quiet neighborhood that’s walking distance from the local shops and restaurants in town! The Ranch offers several different accommodations – two glamping tents, along with a cabin and a simple tent camping site.
This is a great place for glamping in Santa Cruz if you’re traveling without kids – Rudy Ranch is adults only! This helps preserve the quiet atmosphere, making glamping in Santa Cruz a peaceful experience.
I stayed in the La Rue glamping tent, which was tucked on a hill above the property, and surrounded by a bamboo fence for privacy!
You can book your stay at the any of the Rudy Ranch sites through Hipcamp, which is a website similar to Airbnb, but with camping and glamping sites!

Getting to Rudy Ranch Glamping
You’ll get an address and detailed directions from the host once you book your stay at Rudy Ranch, but to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s some information about the location, and getting there!
Rudy Ranch is about 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, and just over an hour south of San Francisco. The campsite is located in a small town, which makes for a really peaceful getaway that’s close to the California Coast and near the bigger cities! To get there from Santa Cruz, you’ll drive through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, past the cute “downtown” area of Boulder Creek, and you’ll turn into a quiet neighborhood to get to Rudy Ranch.
During your stay, make sure to head into to town (it’s a quick walk away!) to try out the local restaurants – I got some delicious Mexican food at Taqueria Los Amigos.

You have a few different options to choose from when you book your stay! There’s a cabin, a tent site, an RV, and the two glamping tents. Inside this Glamping Tent in Santa Cruz
The tent I stayed in was called “La Rue.” It was surrounded by redwood trees and some nice views of the forest, and had a gorgeous walking path!
The tent had a really comfortable bed, and two chairs – so it’s best for no more than two people!
The tent had electricity so you could charge any electronics, some water, lights, and towels for the pool! There was also a fan in case the tent got toasty.
Amenities at Rudy Ranch Glamping in Santa Cruz
The glamping tent was amazing, but my favorite part was the pool! Here are some of the amenities you can expect during your stay at this glamping site in Santa Cruz.
Pool
The big pool was really fun to swim in, and the pool area was really well decorated! There were lounge chairs, a bar area, a fridge, a grill, and lots of table and chairs – it would be absolutely perfect for a barbecue. The hosts even had some floaties available!
There was a hot tub by the pool too, but it wasn’t working during my stay. But, maybe it’ll be back!
Bathroom & Shower
Unless you stay in the cabin, there’s no bathroom or shower available at the glamping sites – but, next to the pool is everything you need! The bathroom is behind a door, and the outdoor shower is surrounded by a bamboo wall for privacy.
WiFi
If you need to stay connected during your stay, the glamping site had WiFi! It was a little slow in the tent, so if you need to upload photos or want to download a movie, you may need to head closer to the host’s house for better connection – but there are picnic tables on the lawn so you can definitely use those!

On the property, you can swim in the pool, relax amongst the redwood trees, and enjoy the trails – but there are also plenty of adventures nearby!
You can scuba dive in nearby Monterey, take a surf lesson in Santa Cruz, or take a self guided audio tour of the Pacific Coast Highway.
